Lafayette, Colorado - March 17, 2010 - Dr. Yubong Hahn, President of Rocky Mountain Instrument Co. (“RMI”), announced the company has entered the final stages of resolving the investigation begun by the United States Department of Justice over two years ago.

Today representatives of RMI and the Department of Justice appeared in federal court and began the process of finalizing an agreement between the federal government and RMI that will resolve the Justice Department matter and allow the company to move forward as a vibrant and growing corporation.

RMI expects the final agreement will be entered in court sometime in the next forty-five days.  Key components of the agreement will include RMI’s ongoing cooperation with the government.  Over the past twenty-nine months, RMI has cooperated with the government’s investigation and will continue to do so.

A significant component of this resolution is RMI’s demonstrated commitment to integrate export control compliance into its business operations.  Over the past twenty-nine months, RMI performed a complete review of its export control compliance system.  Working with outside specialists, RMI developed an effective compliance program, comprehensive training and a business ethics program – all designed to insure RMI meets or exceeds recommended export management system guidelines.
