ZnSe Production

ZnSe PRODUCTION

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) Manufacturing

Through a key acquisition in 2006, RMI is now one of the world’s few manufacturers of ZnSe.  Grown through a process known as CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition), ZnSe is a critical optical substrate used in common IR applications such as CO2 laser optics and thermal imaging.  Recognizing the scarcity of this important substrate,RMI is moving forward to expand production to match the increasing global demand for ZnSe optics. By vertically integrating raw material production, precision fabrication and coating expertise, RMI will be able to deliver finished ZnSe optics of the highest quality and technical specifications.
