Customer Service Manager

RMI Laser is located in Lafayette, CO. We are searching for Customer Service Manager to lead our Customer Service Department which provides technical support on our Laser systems and software to OEMs and end users. This position is in house and may require some travel to customer sites.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership to department personnel, managing up to 4 people.

  • Interface with management team as the lead representative for the Customer Service Department.

  • Manage product repairs including scheduling, status, communicating timelines and costs to the customer and updating customer on status of repair.

  • Communicates technical issues with products to Quality and Engineering personnel to assist with resolution.

  • Develop and maintain internal processes for improved department performance.

  • Take and respond to customer calls for support on RMI Laser products.

  • Travel to customer site if needed to resolve technical issues and provide training.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have previous experience providing technical support in the field or by phone and email. Must have strong technical ability to successfully provide support and troubleshooting on our products in areas of mechanical, electrical, and basic software. Previous experience with laser technology or electronic equipment/systems desired. Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field required.

This job requires occasional physical lifting of products up to 50 pounds in weight and potential domestic or international travel of up to 20%.

$75,000 salary
Location: onsite in Lafayette, CO
Full-time, Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule

FQC Technician

Rocky Mountain Instrument, Co is searching for someone who wants to work with optics. They would be the one who tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities: 

  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.

  • Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

$16-$18/hour
