Bulk/Sheet

For high quantity needs, our ZnSe can be ordered in bulk by the sheet.

Sufficient Material To Yield (SMTY)

Sufficient Material to Yield, also known as, SMTY, is a ZnSe material blank that is literally enough material to yield the specified optical quantities and thicknesses given by the user. Materials ordered in this form will be provided in various shaped configurations with the predetermined quantities measured to ensure the yield is correct. Thicknesses must be greater than or equal to the value provided but thickness values must consider material removal quantities to be accurate.

Core Drilled Blanks

Core drilled blanks are taken from a ZnSe blank material sheet and drilled out with the nearest possible over-sized diameters. These blanks will have no bevels or edge chipping and will need to be processed further to become completed CO₂ Laser Optics. Surface finish will be ground.

Edge Blanks

Edge blanks are provided to the exact specifications of the user unlike Core Drilled Blanks. These are available in circular, rectangular, or square forms depending on need. Edge blanks use standard dimensional tolerances. Polished, Ready to be Coated Blanks Polished, ready to be coated blanks are exactly what the name implies. The IR grade optic is completely fabricated and polished so they are 100% ready for coatings to be applied.

Generated Curved Blanks

Generated curved blanks are prepared with edges beveled and curves generated based on customer specification.
